The aim of the Probus Club of Keyworth is to provide retired professionals and businessmen with the opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of a group of like-minded people.
The object of all Probus Clubs is to promote fellowship amongst members by holding regular meetings and social functions. All Probus Clubs are non-political and non-sectarian.
The club now has a membership of about 55 with high attendance at meetings.  Meetings are held at Cottage Hotel, Ruddington at 12.00 each Tuesday fortnight  A meeting consists of a talk followed by lunch.
Members are encouraged to invite guests and prospective new members.Club members and guests enjoy talks, often illustrated by Power Point presentations,  on a wide range of interesting subjects. Speakers are selected from specialists in their subject and from members who are happy to share a wealth of knowledge and anecdotes.
The club is socially active; visits are arranged and there are  golf and bowls groups.
